NEW USB-C series DV Batteries

New series of DV batteries with USB type C socket, which could be used to power laptops, tablets or smart phones, and could be charged by existing USB type C chargers.

 

The new series USB-C DV batteries have covered the most popular types, include:

LB-SU90C: The SONY BP-U type 90Wh battery, for PXW-FS5/FS7, PXW-FX6/FX9, PXW-Z280/X280, etc, with 14.4V D-tap and 45W USB-C for laptops;

LB-CA90C: The Canon BP-A type 90Wh battery, for EOS-C200, EOS-C300 Mark ii, EOS-C500 Mark ii, etc, with 14.4V D-tap and 45W USB-C for laptops;

LB-SF65C: The SONY NP-F type 65Wh battery, to power most of 3rd party video devices, with 12V(Reg.) D-tap and 25W USB-C for smartphones;

LB-PD65C: The Panasonic VBR type 65Wh battery, for AU-EVA1, AG-DVX200, AJ-PX270, AJ-UPX360, etc, with 12V(Reg.) D-tap and 25W USB-C for smartphones;

 

Flexible USB-C Charging

The European Commission has proposed USB-C to be the common charging port to allow consumers to charge their devices with the same USB-C charger, regardless of the device brand, and USB-C would become worldwide universal port of electronic devices.

The LB-SU90C and LB-CA90C provide high power 45W USB-C that support Macbook 13, Pro 13/15, ThinkPad New S2/T470/X270, Dell XPS 13/Latitude, HP Spectre x360-13/EliteBook Folio G1, Samsung Chromebook Plus, Google Pixelbook and majority of the laptops with USB-C port.

The LB-SF65C and LB-PD65C provide 25W USB-C that support iPhone 12/13 fast charging, and most of the smart phones with USB-C port. USB-C power out: 5V 3A, 9V 2.8A, 12V 2.1A, 15V 1.7A, 20V 1.3A Support protocols: BC1.2, PD2.0/3.0, QC2.0/3.0, FCP, SCP

Besides dedicated types DV battery charger, you can also use common USB-C chargers to charge these batteries, to save the cost of a particular DV charger. LB-SU90C and LB-CA90C support Max 45W charging which could be fully charged within 3 hours; LB-SF65C and LB-PD65C support Max 25W charging which could be fully charged within 3.5 hours.

 

The 12V (Reg.) D-tap socket on 7.2V battery 

The LB-SF65C (SONY NP-F) and LB-PD65C (Panasonic VBR59) are 7.2V nominal voltage, but they still provide a D-tap power socket with 7.2V to Regulated 12V conversion, to meet the D-tap standard voltage and could power up all the monitors, viewfinders, wireless transmitters, on-camera lights etc.
